Project Manager, Program Development Services, Real EstateEnergy and government - two things that impact us on a daily basis and two things that when combined inappropriately can be problematic. The demand for energy to light our rooms, heat our homes and drive our cars continues to increase. When the government decides to address this increased demand for energy with over-regulation and increased taxes we will all feel it.
The reality is that government cannot punish this industry without punishing the users of its products; and that is all of us. The government can appropriately address the importance of energy in our lives, and that is what the Georgia Energy Forum is all about.

Myth: According to President Barack Obama: "Oil companies are drilling a mile beneath the suface of the ocean -- because we're running out of places to drill on land and shallow water."
Fact: According to the Department of Energy, Nearly 85% of the nation's offshore resources are restricted by the government for exploration. Similar government restrictions are preventing onshore access in parts of Alaska and the Rocky Mountain States that could produce 1.125 million barrels of oil per day and an additional 2.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
